Advancing Physiology Together: Showcasing Research, Enhancing Careers, and Building Communities - In-Person Attendance

Registration is open to Members only. You can find further information about membership on our website. A refundable fee is required to secure attendance, helping to manage capacity and ensure commitment. This fee will be reimbursed at the end of the event.

Early registration rate until 30 September 2026 - Established members: £25, Early career members: £10

Standard registration rate until 31 October 2026 - Established members: £40, Early career members: £25

Late registration rate until 15 November 2026 - Established members: £60, Early career members: £45

Join us in London for a special two-day event marking the culmination of the Society's 150th anniversary celebrations. Advancing Physiology Together will showcase the breadth, ambition and impact of research from Early- and Mid-Career Physiologists across the globe and throughout all areas of physiology.

The conference will feature opportunities for oral and poster presentations, alongside valuable networking opportunities with members at every career stage. As the highlight of our 150th anniversary programme, this event will bring our community together to celebrate the successes of the past year and look ahead to the future of physiology. This is also your opportunity to hear about our latest achievements, discover our plans for the year ahead, and share your ideas directly with The Society’s leadership. You’ll have the chance to meet our new Trustees, thank those who are stepping down, and reconnect with colleagues and friends as we come together to close this landmark year.

The celebrations will include the Bayliss-Starling Prize Lecture for Mid-Career Physiologists, delivered by Dr Samuel Barnes (Imperial College London, UK) and also the Annual Review Prize Lecture, delivered by Professor Susan Wray (University of Liverpool, UK). Members can attend either in person at the Royal Society of Medicine in London or join us online. Please note that in-person places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellations: Bookings cancelled within 28 working days of the event will not be refunded. 

Dietary requirements: Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or special considerations, and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you have any dietary requirements, please indicate these during Step 3 of the registration process or email us. We will make every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions; however, there is no guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all food intolerances and/or special diets. It is the attendee’s responsibility to let us know if they have any food allergies or restrictions at least 14 days before the start of the event.

How we use your data: We will process your data, including sharing attendee contact information with sponsors, in accordance with our fair processing notice. Photography and filming will take place at this event and may be published on our website, social media channels and marketing materials to promote The Society.
