In 2026, The Physiological Society celebrates its 150th anniversary: a landmark moment to celebrate physiologists past and present, the discoveries that have shaped our understanding of the body, and the community driving physiology forward. Throughout the year, we will mark this milestone with events, activities, and opportunities for engagement, reflecting on our history while looking ahead to the impact of the next 150 years.
Join us as we kick off a landmark year of celebration for The Physiological Society’s 150th anniversary.
The 2025 Member Forum will launch a year filled with events, activities and opportunities to engage. We will recognise 150 years of physiology and physiologists while looking ahead to the future of our science and our community.
This is your chance to be part of the anniversary from the very beginning. Hear about our recent achievements, explore our exciting plans for the year, and share your views directly with The Society’s leadership. You’ll also meet our new Trustees, thank demitting Trustees, and connect with colleagues and friends as we come together to mark the start of this special year.
Following the Forum, join us for the President’s Lecture and Awards Ceremony - the most prestigious event in The Society’s calendar.
This special evening will bring our community together to recognise outstanding contributions to physiology through the Awards Ceremony and to be inspired by the President’s Lecture. This year we are honoured to welcome Dame Sally Davies, who will present ‘Antimicrobial Resistance: The Challenge of Leadership.’
Members can attend in person at the Royal Society of Medicine in London or join online. Please note that in-person places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Refreshments will be served before the Forum and a drinks reception will follow the evening programme for those attending in person.
In order to register for the event, you first need to log in with username and password.
